    Converging ideas, knowledge and technology

Most of us would agree that we live in a connected World. We would agree that consequences of our actions and decisions emerge in different shapes in different places of the World.

I have always been extremely attracted to understand this connectivity and to learn how to use it for good purposes.

Almost one month ago I started a new job. The company is called Avantica Technologies (www.avantica.net) and we provide outsourcing software product development services to USA, Europe and Latin America. We were born in Silicon Valley and founded by Mario and Luis Carlos Chaves, two Costa Ricans that were ready to take the challenge when the opportunity appeared 15 years ago.

My experience in Avantica is becoming a great school on how to connect the World. From my perspective, the essence of the business is the belief that distance and time are relative when it comes to converge ideas, knowledge and technology that can transform societies.

I am building a network of partners that help us connecting with all those entrepreneurs and organizations that are looking for a way to make their ideas happen. It seems like the beginning of great journey, one that needs to be lead by the passion to connect, driven by the will to learn and achieved by the discipline to execute.

    1. It is definitely amazing how technology provides a structure for our connections in a way that was not previously possible. I've also noticed that once you live your life and your work in a connected manner, some people start assuming that of course others do the same; but they don't. How can we make it easier for technology to be leveraged in all contexts where it can be supportive? How can it be used further to enable banking for the poorest in rural areas? How can organizations use technology more dynamically for virtual teams to operate in a manner that they do not feel they are missing out on the physical interaction? I'm curious to see how your thoughts and work evolve!
